New Tour Merch Launching at Red Rocks

Jul 27, 2016

Launching this week at Red Rocks, our new tour merchandise explores themes from "True Sadness." Sometimes we are not equipped for the challenges of our rapidly changing world - we feel out of step. This new merchandise continues to explore the old & the new, earth & space, analog & digital. We hope you feel connected to the ever-changing world of the band as we take you on this journey.

Two designs are influenced from graphics popular in the early 1900s. We also continue to celebrate beloved lyrics with "Head Full of Doubt, Road Full of Promise" penned in Scott Avett's hand. Designers near (North Carolina) and far (Europe) contributed their talents to this Tour Only line of merchandise.

The new Avett pennant is made entirely in North Carolina by Centennial Trading Company.

Last but not least, Bob Crawford and Crackerfarm have designed "This Machine Kills Cancer" t-shirts available for purchase on the road. 100% of the profits will benefit the Press On Fund to support an upcoming St. Jude brain tumor protocol that will save lives. This shirt represents a challenge to The Avett Brothers and to others to do what you love as a means to raise money for pediatric cancer research. In September, Melanie and Bob will be dedicating great effort in this regard to the Press On Fund.
Through Press On, the Crawfords, in conjunction with two other families who have been in this fight with us, have raised almost $7 million for childhood cancer research. We challenge you to do whatever you do (play guitar, golf, run, paint) to pay it forward. Together we can press on and cure childhood cancer.
